Stephen Ingledew is the Chief Executive of FinTech Scotland.

FinTech Scotland is an independent not-for-profit body established in 2018 by the Financial Services sector, Universities and Scottish Government to ensure that Scotland seizes the Fintech opportunitiesand achieves positive economic and social outcomes by encouraging financial innovation, collaboration and inclusion as part of the country’s broader digital economy objectives.

FinTech Scotland’s objectives are to develop an innovative community of Fintech firms, generate impactful collaborations between firms of all sizes and foster an inclusive cluster which is globally recognised.

In January 2020, FinTech Scotland was formally recognised for the development for the Fintechcluster in Scotland and became the first part of the UK to be accredited with the bronze label for Cluster Management Excellence by the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis.

Stephen is a regular speaker at major global financial services and university conferences on subjects ranging from customer strategy and execution, the growth and development of fintech innovation as well as business change leadership.

Stephen has a proven track record and reputation for implementing customer focused, technology enabled profitable initiatives in a wide range of financial services organisations. This has included senior executive roles with large institutions in the UK such as Standard Life and Barclays as well as small innovative enterprises.

Throughout his career, Stephen has been an influential advocate of making financial services more open, creative and inclusive to all through new innovative technologies, encouraging diversity and progressive ways of working as well as improved collaboration across stakeholders and participants.

Stephen lives with his wife and two daughters in Edinburgh, Scotland and is a competitive long distance runner.
